2008 FINA Canada Grand Prix New 5/07

  • The Canada Cup took place last week in Montreal. Even though some of the Chinese divers experienced some just less than perfect dives during the preliminary and semis finals rounds, they all competed almost perfect final events winning a large majority of them, and proving once more, to be the team to beat at this summer's Olympic Games in Beijing.

2007-2008 Schedule of Upcoming Diving Meets

  • Add your own upcoming meets information to flipnrip.
    • Add your HS meets (make sure you add the state and names of teams: ie: 2008 Texas Klein HS vs Montgomery HS)
    • Add your upcoming college meets
    • Add your Club meets
    • Add your International meets (Denmark and Sweden have already done so)
    • Upload your meet information (ie: .doc or pdf.file) and or link to divemeets.com for easy meet registration.
    • Add a meet and receive a penguin towards a free sammy (12 penguins give you a free sammy!)
  • Meets are searchable by country, State, Meet type, and season
  • Results will be attached to these pages
  • Click on "date" and the meets will appear in the reversed date order

The Laura Wilkinson Foundation New 11/18

As many of you have already heard, the Woodlands Athletic Center, location where the Woodlands Diving Academy trains, will be closing its doors as of September 1st, 2008. The great pool which has held numerous, invitational, national and international meets will be no more.
 
To help fulfill the dream of the many Woodlands divers, coaches and parents,  Olympic Gold Medalist, Laura Wilkinson, has created the "Laura Wilkinson foundation". The main goal of the foundation is to raise awareness of the situation and help raise money to build a new state of the art diving facility. Please visit the LauraWilkinsonFoundation.org website and we hope that you will find it in your heart to help.
 
During this next season, the Woodlands Diving Academy will be hosting several meets in the hopes that everyone will get the chance to come and compete one last time at this great facility.   • Flipnrip has always thrived on help from everyone... Since it is sometimes hard for us to keep everything updated we have designed a new program which will hopefully help us maintain a better, more accurate website.
    This is "the deal":
    Every time you see something missing, something wrong, a spelling mistake, a wrong team name in the meet results, a misspelled diver's name in the meet results, missing results, etc.. email me either to Joelle@flipnrip.com or to my internal email at Joelle, explain the mistake and page where it is, and after I fix it, a "penguin" will be added to your bio as a flipnrip contribution. Once you have 12 penguins on your bio you will receive a Tie-dyed Sammy!!!

  • Dive Verifier Excel program has been updated for 2007 and is available to download to assist divers and coaches in creating their dive sheets and provide a method to fill out a sheet according to the rules selected and email it to a meet director. 2007 USA Diving Future Champion Rules have been summarized with dive checking available for these new rules. http://www.diverline.com/EZMeet/DiveVerifierInfo.html
